My stay at Brighton Black Hotel Kemptown was quite mixed. On one hand, the location near the beach was fantastic, making exploring the vibrant area a breeze. However, the room I stayed in was quite tiny, and the overall cleanliness left a lot to be desired. It was convenient for a budget stay, but I wouldn't consider it restful or comfortable. 🏖️😕

Rooms
5.0
The room was very small and had a carpet that was in dire need of cleaning. The en-suite bathroom was cramped and not very pleasant. I was also disturbed by noise from late-night guests as my room was located near the stairway.
Service
5.0
The check-in process was confusing and the lack of staff was noticeable. I struggled with communicating my needs due to language barriers and didn't receive much support before or during my stay.
Location
6.0
The location is a highlight, being close to the beach and within reasonable walking distance to the city center. However, it can be far from the train station, and I can see parking being a challenge during busy times.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast wasn't included, but there are plenty of cafes and bars nearby if you want to grab a bite to eat. I appreciated the options available within walking distance.
Facilities
5.0
Housekeeping did maintain the room daily, but the shared facilities seemed neglected and were not up to standard. Overall, the hotel lacked the amenities that you would typically expect.

5.8/10

I had a mixed experience at Brighton Black Hotel Kemptown. The location is fantastic, just a short walk from the beach and town center, but the amenities left a bit to be desired. The room I stayed in was clean and had a nice sea view, but it was quite small, and the shared facilities were limited. Overall, it suits budget travelers seeking a convenient spot despite some drawbacks.

Rooms
6.0
My room was small but clean, with a comfy bed and a nice view of the street leading to the sea. However, the en-suite was tiny, and I found the overall size of the room a bit cramped for comfort.
Service
6.0
The service was minimal with no reception available, which made me a bit uneasy at times. However, I was reassured that someone could be contacted if needed. The cleaning was adequate, but I felt the hotel could benefit from more staff presence.
Location
10.0
One of the best parts of my stay was the location. It was just a short walk to the iconic Brighton Palace Pier and the vibrant beach, which made it easy to explore. I loved that it was nestled in a quiet street away from the hustle, yet still close to everything.
Dining
6.0
No breakfast is offered, which was a bit disappointing, but there are plenty of nearby cafes and restaurants for meals. The lack of dining facilities within the hotel didn't bother me too much since there are so many good options around.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel had minimal facilities, with no common areas to relax in. The tea and coffee-making supplies were decent, and my room was stocked with plenty, but I could see how freshening the decor and adding more options could enhance the experience.

My stay at Brighton Black Hotel Kemptown was a mixed bag. The location was fantastic, just a short walk from the beach and surrounded by great bars and cafes. However, the service left much to be desired as there was no reception and communication via WhatsApp went ignored. Overall, while clean, the experience felt more hostel-like than hotel-worthy, especially with inadequate room amenities.

Rooms
6.0
The room was basic but clean, featuring a comfortable bed. However, the amenities could use some improvement, like the small shower cubicle and lack of plug for the sink. It felt compact, which is suitable for solo travelers.
Service
5.0
The service was limited, with no staff on site and only a buzzer to request assistance. Unfortunately, my messages went unanswered.
Location

I had an overall good stay at Brighton Black Hotel Kemptown. The location was great, being just a short walk to the beach, though I did have a few issues during my visit. The staff were friendly and attentive, quickly addressing a radiator problem I encountered. I would recommend this place for its comfort and cleanliness, but be aware of potential noise from the surroundings.

My stay at Brighton Black Hotel Kemptown had its ups and downs. The proximity to the beach was fantastic and I enjoyed the quietness of the area, but the room itself left much to be desired. While the bed was comfortable, the ventilation was poor, and there were several maintenance issues that made my stay less enjoyable than I'd hoped.

Rooms
5.0
The room was small and compact with limited ventilation and a very musty smell. While the bed was large and comfortable, the amenities like the TV and bathroom facilities were underwhelming.
Service
